Manalkadu Building Project
Building of a two storey primary school, located in Manalkadu, Sri Lanka. This school was destroyed in the 2004 tsunami which also took the lives of 16 school children in the area. Since the tsunami, the children have been studying in a temporary metal shelters built by their parents, in the corridors of a nearby church and under trees.
The school is in desperate need as the children currently walk a long distance, many without shoes, to learn what they can in these temporary shelters. We have been able to fully commit to funding this projects from the proceeds raised from all those who supported the Summer Ball and Bike and Hike 2016.
